When she meets romantic Alfredo, the hypocrisy of upper-class society threatens their love – and someone must pay the ultimate price. This lavish production of Verdi’s masterpiece features two of opera’s biggest stars, Renée Fleming and Ronaldo Villazón with James Conlon conducting the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

Here, in a lavishly Hollywood-worthy production is a star-turn Traviata that will please almost everyone. All of the principals are good actors, and musically the level is as high as it gets these days. [Classics Today]
